Specialized Master in Transport and Logistics

Université Libre de Bruxelles

The Specialized Master in Transport and Logistics (MSTL) is an interuniversity program (ULB, ULg, UNamur) which offers students cutting-edge training and tries to meet the need to train specialists, both in passenger and freight transport issues.

The training combines:

  • theoretical lessons that are both generalist and specialized and apply to various types of spaces and societies
  • interventions specifically targeted at developing countries
  • workshops where students are asked to think about practical cases
  • field visits

The course program comprises 60 credits for a total of 540 hours of lessons, workshops, conferences and technical visits. The teaching is spread over an academic year but it is possible to request a reduction allowing the program to be spread over two years. The course is intended to be interdisciplinary and deals in an integrated way with matters relating to the territory, sustainable development, the social, economic and socio-economic context, techniques and tools for analysis, management and planning of transport, law, technologies and logistics. Theoretical education is supplemented by workshops intended to apply theoretical concepts, field visits to Belgium and neighboring countries, a series of conferences and two Southern Chairs given by visiting professors from Africa.
