ella now available in the United States

Watson Pharmaceuticals has officially launched ella in the United States. ella is the only emergency contraceptive approved in the US for use up to five days after unprotected sex or birth control failure. ella is currently available to US users by prescription only, and there is no age limit on who may use this form of emergency contraception.
