Leader nominations

Following a call for nominations for the leader of the MDA Working Group to serve for the next two years (May 2009 - April 2011), the Coalition Secretariat received replies from a number of organisations active in the Working Group. These organisations endorsed Ben Light of UNFPA to continue in this role. Respondents stressed their desire for continuity of leadership and were keen to carry on with an impartial public sector representative in this role.
Therefore Ben Light is duly reconfirmed as Working Group leader until April 2011 unless there is a change in circumstances preventing this.
Thanks to all those who made an effort to make a nomination and thanks also to Ben Light for agreeing to continue in this role.
