MVA Calculator

The MVA Calculator is a caseload-based tool to enable users to quickly and easily calculate their facility’s MVA (manual vacuum aspiration) instrument inventory needs, in order to avoid stock-outs or excessive delays for clients. The MVA Calculator estimates active (procedure room) inventory as well as reserve (stock room) needs. This tool for managing reproductive health supplies was developed by Ipas and John Snow, Inc.in 2009 and is available in web-based and CD-ROM formats, in both English and Spanish.
