Orphaned commodities find new home in UNCoLSC

Champions for the three contraceptive methods (female condom, emergency contraception, and implant) within the UNCoLSC have joined forces under a new FP Technical Resources Team (TRT). Led by the Coalition’s Caucus on New and Underused Reproductive Health Technologies (NURHT), the new TRT reflects the renewed focus of the Commission’s Second Phase (2014-2015), which is to get live-saving RMNCH commodities to country-level and into the hands of those who need them most. In April and May, representatives of the three former TRTs forged a new costed workplan for the group and are assembling a more flexible, TRT-wide communications platform.
