The VER Project: Visibility, Empowerment and Resources in LAC

In 2014, IPPF/WHR received a grant from the LAC Fund to implement the VER Project which was co-implemented with three IPPF member associations in Colombia, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. The objectives of the project were the following:  Visibility: increase the visibility of the inequity in Latin America and the Caribbean, especially in sexual and reproductive health and rights with an emphasis on the accessibility of supplies. Empowerment and capacity strengthening: contribute to the strengthening of Civil Society organizations in the region in order to improve advocacy toward the Post 2015 Agenda and for Financing for Development. Resources: contribute to maintain, increase and change donor priorities in the region in order to cover the needs for supplies in SRHR and to increase political will and funding for these issues among governments in the LAC region. During the webinar, Ms. María Bordallo, IPPF/WHR Advocacy and Development Officer, will share some of the results of the project, documentation and the impact of the international agenda.
